IV. Use of cookies

(1) This website uses different types of cookies if they are absolutely necessary for the provision of the service. These include:

Transient cookies (see 2)
Persistent cookies (see 3).

(2) Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. These include session cookies, in particular. These store a session ID which assigns the various requests made by your browser during the joint session. This allows your computer to be recognized when you return to the site. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.

(3) Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period, which may differ depending on the cookie in question. You can delete the cookies in your browser's security settings at any time. Persistent cookies are used to store settings that you have made. Your settings, which have been communicated to you via the cookie banner, are also saved, e.g. via a permanent cookie. In general, we use persistent cookies to store the settings you have made on this website. Such cookies generally have an expiration date, after which they are deleted.

(4) Our cookies are provided with a different storage period. In general, they are only kept as long as is necessary for the provision of our services.

Your consent – which you can, of course, revoke at any time – is required for this.
What these procedures are and how they work are defined in the relevant sections of this statement.

V. SSL or TLS encryption

This website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and for the protection of the transmission of confidential content, such as the enquiries you send to us as the website operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection in your browser's address line when it changes from "http://" to "https://" and the lock icon is displayed in your browser's address bar.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.

VI. Further functions and offers of our website

(1) In addition to the purely informational use of our website, we offer various services that you can use if interested. For this purpose, you must provide further personal data which we use to provide the respective service and to which the aforementioned data processing principles apply.

(2) In some cases we use external service providers to process your data. These have been carefully selected and commissioned by us, are bound by our instructions and are regularly checked.

(3) Furthermore, we may disclose your personal data to third parties if we offer promotions, competitions, contracts or similar services together with partners. For more information, please provide your personal data or see the description of the offer below.

(4) If our service providers or partners are located in a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will inform you of the consequences of this circumstance in the description of the offer.

VII. Objection or revocation against the processing of your data

(1) If you have given your consent to the processing of your data, you can revoke this at any time. Such a revocation influences the permissibility of processing your personal data after you have already given it to us.

(2) If we base the processing of your personal data on the weighing of interests, you may object to the processing. This is the case if processing is not necessary in particular to fulfil a contract with you, which is described by us in the description of the functions. When exercising such objection, we ask you to explain the reasons why we should not process your personal data as we have done. In the event of your justified objection, we will examine the situation and either stop or adjust data processing or point out to you our compelling reasons worthy of protection, on the basis of which we will continue processing.

(3) Of course, you can object to the processing of your personal data for advertising and data analysis purposes at any time. You can inform us about your advertising contradiction under the following contact data:

LOXX Logistics GmbH

Email: presse@loxx.de

VIII. Newsletter

(1) On our website, we offer users the opportunity to subscribe to our company's newsletter, which we use to inform them about news from the company. To send the newsletter and manage newsletter subscribers, we use the cloud software of the company Mailjet: a simplified joint-stock company under French law ("Société par actions simplifiée"), registered in the Paris Trade and Companies Register under number 524 536 992, with registered office at 13-13bis, rue de l'Aubrac - 75012 Paris.

(2) For legal reasons, a confirmation e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address entered by a user for the first time for the newsletter dispatch using the double opt-in procedure. This confirmation email is used to check whether the owner of the email address has authorised receipt of the newsletter as the data subject. If you do not confirm your registration within 24 hours, your information will be blocked and automatically deleted after one month.

(3) When registering for the newsletter, we also store the IP address assigned by the Internet service provider (ISP) of the computer system used by the data subject at the time of registration, as well as the date and time of registration. The collection of this data is necessary in order to be able to trace the (possible) misuse of a data subject's e-mail address at a later date and therefore serves as legal protection for the controller.

(4) The mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your e-mail address, first name and surname; the company details are optional. After your confirmation, we will store the data you have provided for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.

(5) Our newsletters contain so-called tracking pixels for the purpose of newsletter tracking. A tracking pixel is a miniature graphic that is embedded in emails sent in HTLM format to enable log file recording and log file analysis. Based on the embedded tracking pixel, we can recognise whether and when an email was opened by a data subject and which links in the email were accessed by the data subject. Such personal data collected via the tracking pixels contained in the newsletters are stored and evaluated by the controller in order to optimise the newsletter dispatch.
You can object to the collection of this data separately, independently of cancelling your newsletter subscription. To do so, please contact presse@loxx.de.

(6) You can revoke your consent to the sending of the newsletter and the storage of your data at any time. You can declare your cancellation in three ways: 1) by clicking on the "Unsubscribe" link provided for this purpose in every newsletter email, 2) by sending an email to presse@loxx.de or 3) by sending a message to the contact details provided in the legal notice.
