- Rhenus Sankyo Logistics K.K shared their expertise on green logistics solutions at Logis-Tech Tokyo 2025

With Japan’s green logistics market projected with a CAGR of 7.57% between FY2026-FY2033, Japanese companies are looking to embrace cleaner processes and technologies. With this in mind, Rhenus Sankyo Logistics K.K. spoke during Logis-Tech Tokyo 2025 to share the latest trends and solutions in helping Japanese and international companies meet their sustainability needs across the whole supply chain. Logis-Tech Tokyo, held on 10 to 12 September 2025, is one of the Largest Material Handling and Logistics trade shows in Asia.
Harmonizing Sustainability with Logistics
During the presentation, Rhenus shared on its heavy emphasis on innovative, lower-emission transportation solutions that blend sustainability with efficiency. For companies looking to effectively decarbonize their operations, Rhenus shared that they should start from comprehensively assessing their carbon footprint through measurement tools. Tools include Rhenus Logistics Air & Ocean’s Emission Dashboard that measures, tracks and monitors carbon emissions and shipments.
Rhenus also works closely with partners to tap on software to optimize logistics operations. Transport Mode Optimizer which evaluates cost, timing, and environmental impact of each option, before shortlisting transportation options with lower emission rates. RHEGREEN, an emission efficiency tool for air freight, can help businesses determine and select the most emission-efficient aircraft.
Finally, Rhenus shared on a Carbon Inset Program, which will also be implemented to reduce carbon emissions by equipping transport vehicles with sustainable marine or aviation fuels.
As part of the presentation, Rhenus shared about their global experience, which it draws upon to tailor solutions that meet local market needs.
