Rhenus Group finalizes integration of C. Hartwig Gdynia with rebranding to Rhenus Air & Ocean Poland

• The Rhenus Group, a global logistics solutions provider, has announced the official rebranding of C. Hartwig Gdynia S.A. 

• The integration strengthens Rhenus global Air & Ocean network expanding its position in Eastern Europe. 

• Rebranding is accompanied by changes in its management board finalizing integration. 

As of 10th of September, C. Hartwig Gdynia S.A. is rebranded to Rhenus, operating under the legal entity Rhenus Air & Ocean Poland S.A. The company's name change is the culmination of the process of fully integrating one of Poland's oldest freight forwarding companies with the Rhenus Group, a global provider of logistics services.  

The rebranding is a natural step resulting from the company's acquisition by Rhenus Group in 2021, which has strengthened its global air and ocean network and expanded its presence in Eastern Europe. Rhenus Group now offers an extended range of ocean, air, intermodal and project transport services on the Polish market, as well as an extensive global operational footprint covering over 70 countries. 

Changes to the management board 

The integration is also accompanied by changes to the management board. Effective September 1st, Marek Kearney, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer and Sea Freight Director at C. Hartwig Gdynia for 9 years, will assume the position of Managing Director of Rhenus Air & Ocean Poland. Marek Klabacha, who has served on the company's management board since 2023, will continue as part of the management. From 1 October 2025, the newly appointed Managing Director, Konstantin Perlitt, who previously served as Branch Manager at Rhenus in South Africa, will also join the company's Management Board. The above changes result from the completion of the integration process. 

Successive and multi-stage integration 

C. Hartwig Gdynia became an integral part of the international Rhenus network, thus gaining new opportunities for further development. The merger of two mature organizations would not be possible without solid and common fundamentals which are values represented by both companies. Rebranding is not just a change of name and logo – it is, above all, a step towards the future, in which the team's local knowledge and experience are reinforced by global resources, technologies and competencies. The new company name clearly communicates the high specialization of the services provided in air and ocean freight logistics, and emphasizes belonging to a strong, global brand. “We are convinced that this change will strengthen our value to our customers and contribute to further expansion into international markets.
